NEW- JUST ARRIVED

New heated mid-layer garment designed from the ground up, using specially designed textiles and an enhanced heating system.

This new Heated Jacket has been designed to deliver maximum comfort and superior heating efficiency - featuring UltraFlex technology. This J601RP heated UltraFlex jacket features a much thinner material structure than the alternative soft-shell J501RP and J505RP heated jackets - being designed to fit between the wearer's base-layer and their outer motorcycle jacket when there is not a lot of space to accommodate a mid-layer heated garment. The unique UltraFlex material also provides generous elastic 4-way stretch, moulding the garment to the wearers body contours for a snug fit, without restricting movement.

UltraFlex 4 way stretch

Keis developed UltraFlex specifically for motorcycle mid-layers, so that riders can enjoy riding safely in colder environments. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and wicks away moisture, keeping riders comfortable and dry, while the Keis heating panels deliver warmth to strategically positioned areas of the body.

The unisex Keis UltraFlex Heated Jacket delivers 65W (5.4A) of power to heat panels in the chest, back, sleeves, and collar. The sleeves also feature thumb holsters to prevent the sleeves bunching up, especially when putting on a motorcycle jacket.

Keis UltraFlex heated jacket

What makes the J601RP Keis UltraFlex Heated Jacket unique:

  • This heated jacket incorporates the next-generation heating and textile technology for heated garments - featuring UltraFlex technology.
  • The very latest Micro Carbon Fibre heat pads for advanced heat radiation, providing an even layer of heat across the chest, back, arms and collar areas.
  • The sleeves also feature ‘thumb holsters’ to prevent the sleeves bunching up, especially when putting on a motorcycle jacket.
  • The J601RP UltraFlex heated jacket features power output sockets in the cuff of both arms, and built in to the inside waist band. These allows the user to connect and power a pair of Keis heated gloves, and/or a Keis heated trouser, socks, or boot insoles. Add these additional heated garments to your jacket, to build your luxurious fully integrated heated solution.

Due to the elasticated side panels you may find you may experience a snug fit. A snug fit provides the most efficient transfer of heat from the heated jacket, through your required under layer (e.g. long sleeved t-shirt), to your upper body.

    Connect & power

It is recommended that you power the J601RP UltraFlex Heated Jacket from a vehicle battery, using the supplied Keis Power Lead.

While this heated jacket can technically be powered by a Keis Portable Battery Pack, we believe that this may not be very practical. As the heated jacket draws 5.4Amps of current to heat the many different Micro Carbon Fibre heating elements, a portable battery is not recommended to power this garment. It is advised that this heated jacket be powered from a vehicle battery connection.

This heated jacket can also be powered via the Keis Cigarette Lighter/DIN Power Supply Lead (available as an optional accessory).

Connecting the supplied motorcycle power lead is quick and easy.

SPECIAL NOTE - You are unable to power this heated garment using a cigarette lighter/DIN power lead on a BMW motorcycle, due to the 5Amp limit to their DIN power socket (the jacket draws 5.4Amps).

    KEIS, THE BEST ONE....

This is a lot thinner than the 505 jacket, so less going on, under your MB jacket.
It is really hot once on and easy to control, with the controller... (very hot without it)
If it gets warm on the day, it is a thin layer, so your not sweating, with Two jackets on..
I wear with a long sleeve T shirt and MB only...
Get the size down, so its a tight fit..... very stretchy material on this too...

    ULTRAFLEX J601RP

I ordered the size as per the size guide and the jacket was a very nice fit.
Wow this jacket is hot, I wore a thin base layer under it and took out the thermal liner in my motorcycle jacket, so I could give it a good test on a very cold day. I started on the medium setting and initially didn't feel much heat, so I put it on to full power. Had to stop 5 mins later to turn it to the medium setting, and then stopped again after another 5 - 10 mins to turn it to the lowest setting, which proved to be nice and cosy. Very impressed with this jacket and I am going to order the trousers to go with the gloves and socks I purchased with the jacket (reviewed separately)

    Keis heated jacket

An excellent product. I initially thought there was an issue with the heat controller - but it turned out that it was ‘operator error’. However, the personnel at Keis were extremely helpful and thorough, and the ‘issue’, ( me not holding the power on switch down for long enough!), was quickly identified.
Only used it once so far, but it was plenty warm enough on the lowest setting. I’m looking forward to trying it during our next really cold spell.

    Ultraflex 601 Jacket

I had put off buying a heated jacket but now wish I'd done it earlier.
I went for this jacket as I didn't want another thick layer under my outer waterproof jacket and it feels about right for me. It's pretty light and easy to get comfortable once all closed up. The neck isn't too high either, which was another detail I was trying not to get wrong.
Most of the time I use it on the lowest setting which is just enough to eliminate wind chill through my unlined, laminated Rukka outer layer. I wanted maximum flexibility with my layer options and so far I'm not regretting my choices. I expect I will use the mid setting once we get into sub zero temperatures. The jacket keeping my core warm together with bikes heated grips is doing it for me.
The power lead is just long enough to get off the bike, switch the jacket off and unplug it. Using the (wired) heat controller with winter gloves on is fiddly so I tend to switch it on and leave it tucked out the way.
It seems a well made garment so should stand the test of time. It will now be a default item of winter bike gear for me getting daily use as I commute on my bike as much as possible.
I would recommend these heated jackets to anyone riding a bike during the winter.
