The KEIS J801 Heated Puffer Jacket is a leisure‑style puffer with Micro Carbon Fibre heating panels across the chest and back, enhanced by 3M Thinsulate insulation for lightweight, even warmth. Got this for heated trousers. Ppl say it can be hard to locate the ordinary controller. Installed app. When bt controller is power you just cycle through the power levels. V easy. The controller just needs power. It does not have to be on. It would be good if the app was digitally signed by Keis and not the developer. I have not used the controller yet on the bike so cannot comment on reliability.
After years of layering up in cold weather and giving the lads stick for wearing heated gear I’ve joined them. My only regret is not having done so a lot earlier in life.
Arthritis makes me prone to pain on cold rides, this jacked is warm even when unplugged, but comes with three heat settings. I also bought the G701 heated gloves which are superb and again three heat settings
Jacket comes with wiring for 12v battery hook up and a FOC controller attached to the jacket.

Fits lovely ( had to exchange it for bigger size)
Only thing is although it had the 5000mah battery the box didn’t come with the standard battery or charger like it said on the side of the box

The battery originally marked on the box went out of stock last season and discontinued after we had found a better solution. The 5000mAh is a free upgrade on this original battery containing almost double the power!

Puffer jacket
Got the j801 puffer jacket and the new improved 5000mah battery while it was on offer and the jacket is fantastic i use the batter or my other keis apparel and its far better than the old one id highly recommend both

It’s ok
Heating element of the coat is good however to craftsmanship is poor after only wearing the coat twice both pockets have developed holes in where the stitching has failed

Heated Jacket
Bought the Puffer Jacket to be able to use my bike all year round, it’s a new experience for me and I love it, Yesterday was a sunny but freezing cold day so my wife and I went for a spin to a bikers cafe but as it was so cold we took the rag top car and went topless, it’s a game changer for me and I know what to buy the wife for her birthday, I started on high heat setting but was soon down to medium and only needing high at motorway speeds.

I was in the process of buying the battery but then the deal came along to get the Puffer jacket at an amazing price, all in all exceptional value when the two were purchased together. Jacket is great and the battery life is excellent . I have several pieces of Keis now and they are all 1st class.

Good but could have been better
The jacket itself seems decent quality and should last a while and the heated zones get fairly warm on the high setting. The heated area is only across the chest and the same height around the back, It would have been so much better if the front pocket area was heated so you could keep your hands warm.
